AMERIGO International, operational since October 2018, held its first Convention from 10 to 12 April in Lyon (France). 24 Shareholders and 22 Suppliers met for three studious but also festive days, culminating in the designation of the shareholders and suppliers of the year.
The 3-year plan validated
The first day of the Convention, reserved exclusively for the shareholders of the company, was the opportunity to measure in General Assembly the progress made since the 1st AMERIGO International meeting of Chantilly in April 2018. If all the objectives were reached or exceeded no question of resting. Each member has communicated its purchase commitments with referenced suppliers for the next 3 years. « It is important to give visibility to our suppliers, » says Olivier van Ruymbeke, President of AMERIGO International. Our shareholders have understood this and are really committed to them. »
GPI, the French shareholder of AMERIGO International, awarded
The 24 Shareholders and the 22 Suppliers were able to visit the facilities of CDAL, a member of GPI, the French member of AMERIGO International, based in Saint Priest. Olivier Maretti, CEO of the group, was able to share his best practices with the other shareholders of AMERIGO International. He was also particularly pleased to receive the « Shareholder of the Year » award.
Why this choice? « GPI is the shareholder of AMERIGO International, which plays the best role in contract referenced suppliers, explains Yves Maillière, Director of Operations at AMERIGO International. It seemed perfectly normal to reward loyalty, commitment in terms of volume of purchases and integration of new suppliers on its platforms. » What does the main interested person think, Olivier Maretti? « We wanted to join an organization such as AMERIGO International to discover other suppliers, enabling us to be competitive on the French market. The AMERIGO International teams put us in contact with these quality suppliers, we are naturally happy to integrate them into our offer. »
More than 300 business meetings
22 Suppliers from AMERIGO International, representing more than 30 brands, made the trip to Lyon, to take part in more than 300 meetings with shareholders. These business meetings have been prepared upstream, respecting the requests of Suppliers, Shareholders and their specific products and/or markets. Each of the suppliers present signed a 3-year partnership with AMERIGO International at the end of this successful day. « Supplier commitment is absolutely key, » says Yves Maillière. They have answered this past beyond our expectations, and our members have particularly appreciated the richness of the meetings « . Among these committed suppliers, it is the Italian specialist of water pumps, Saleri SIL, that returned the honor of receiving the award of « Supplier of the Year ».

Marco Pinnacoli, Saleri SIL’s Aftermarket Sales Director, received the award from all shareholders and suppliers combined. « As the months go by, we see AMERIGO International build and develop. As an enthusiastic partner from the very beginning, we are extremely pleased to have been named Supplier of the Year, this award encourages us to further intensify our cooperation. »

After the Automec show in Sao Paulo from 23 to 27 April, AMERIGO International will continue to connect its distributors and supplier partners:
. June 10th to 12th: AMERIGO International will exhibit at Automechanika Dubai;
. August 28th to 29th: AMERIGO International will exhibit at Automechanika Moscow;
. October 15th to 19th: AMERIGO International will of course be present at Equip Auto Paris, where the adventure began in October 2017.
